Senior System Administrator at Ultra Electronics in Braintree, MA

The Senior System Administrator works within global IT to provide technology, vision, leadership and maintains integrity of the operating system environment. Performs and leads system software upgrades including planning/scheduling, testing and coordination. Performs server administration and setup. Coordinates disk space planning and management. Maintains growth statistics, space forecasts, tape libraries and software and hardware inventories. Monitors and maintains continuity with system software licensing and maintenance agreements. Provides recommendations regarding hardware and system software planning and budgeting. Plans, develops, documents and implements enhancements to systems. Oversees maintenance of directories and system updates. Participates in and acts as project lead for systems initiatives. Duties Include:
Working closely with colleagues and end-users to ensure the solution meets business requirements and is delivered in a timely manner. Troubleshoot and provide solutions to end user requests or problems submitted by phone, email or chat. Troubleshoot and provide solutions to software and hardware faults. Perform systems, network and application administration as well as support functions. Participate in and lead IT projects spanning multiple sites. Provide tier II/III technical support and serve as top escalation point for critical and/or challenging systems issues. Triage and assign advanced problems or requests to the proper channels. Perform post solution follow up to ensure end user satisfaction. Write knowledgebase articles to document new solutions. Support the Group IT team on other projects as needed. Be able to work well as part of a team but also unsupervised. Demonstrate project management abilities and aptitude with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Provide mentorship to junior system administrators and supporting team members. Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. Ability to convey risks and propose mitigation strategies to technical and business audiences. Carry out any other duties as reasonably required. Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree with 5
years' experience or Associates Degree with 7
years of experience or High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 9
years of experience. 5
years of Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Server administration experience. 5
years of Windows Security Policy and Group Policy experience. 5 +years of experience installing, maintaining, and supporting hardware and software in a Microsoft Windows environment. 5
years of network administration and/or support experience. 5
years of VMware administration experience. 5
years of Storage Area Network (SAN) administration experience. Travel up to 10% of the time (mostly to other Ultra sites). Ability to acquire a US Government Secret Security Clearance required. Security clearances may only be granted to U.S. citizens. Desired Skills:
Experience with M365 administration Experience with certifying compliance and auditing the security aspects of various operating systems within Windows. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to interface effectively with multiple faculty and staff on issues within the area of sponsored research in a cooperative, responsible manner. Experience with development and delivery of Information Assurance (IA) related briefings and training material. Experience with Microsoft Exchange and the Microsoft Office product suite. MCSE, MCSA, MCITP, MCTS and related Microsoft Certification a plus. CISSP, CompTIA Security+, CCNA, CCNP and related IT security and/or network certifications a plus. Experience with installing and managing enterprise applications. Experience with Microsoft SharePoint intranet administration. Cisco switching, routing, ASA firewalls and VPN experience. Video conferencing and VoIP phone system administration. Ability to adapt to ongoing changes in technology and in a mixed environment with a variety of systems. Ability to quickly get up to speed on new solutions or situations and to disseminate information gathered to others as needed. Enjoys working at speed, when necessary but also able to plan and consider options.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
System & Network AdministrationEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
