Our client is seeking a GIS/CAD Specialist to operate, maintain and make improvements to computer based CAD, GIS, AM/FM and other software systems.
Responsibilities include performing engineering support tasks and support field services by ensuring accurate data and mapping records. Also, incumbent would develop analysis tools for engineering analysis providing access to information quickly.
The successful candidate should possess a two or four year degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering Technologies, Graphic Design or Civil Engineering. They should also have two to four years of immediately recent experience utilizing CAD/GIS technology and a knowledge of AutoCAD, Autodesk Map Server software, SQL databases, MS SQL reporting services, Crystal Reports and MS Office. This candidate would also need experience writing scripts for AutoCAD/GIS software to simplify computer drafting procedures thus improving efficiency and productivity.
Experience with GPS and GPS data collection is a plus. Utility distribution network experience is desired. Skill in basic engineering, surveying and advanced drafting terminology, principles and practices as well as organization and communication skills required.
This is a non-exempt UNION position. Minor Overtime potential. Amazing benefits for the right candidate.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
